Announcing Release 10.3.3: enhancing your Energis.Cloud experience

We are pleased to introduce a number of enhancements and new features in our latest release, version 10.3.3. Designed to strengthen your dashboards, streamline data export capabilities and refine weather data collection, these updates are aimed at optimising your experience with Energis.Cloud.

Multi-asset table synchronisation: simplifying period interaction

Our new multi-asset table synchronisation addresses a common pain point by facilitating easy period interaction within the multi-asset table. Retaining the core features of its predecessor, this widget offers:

  • Asset filtering options for enhanced customisation.
  • The ability to incorporate asset attributes directly into the table.
  • Comparative analysis against other periods, metrics or column averages.
  • Conditional colouring and display of column totals and averages.
  • Streamlined access to alerts, dashboards and external links.

With Multi-Asset Table Sync, you can easily define a global time period and granularity, and customise column display preferences to suit your analysis needs. Each column can be set to show the total of the period with the Aggregate Value option, or to show the split values with the granularity. It is also possible to add both by adding the same metric twice: once with the ON option and once with the OFF option.

The widget is available for report templates as well with the possibility to export as PDF

Please note that the print behavior is optimized for A4 page size and it is designed to show up to 14 columns with the portrait report layout option.

The following options are not yet available in the widget and will be added soon:

  • Export as CSV.
  • Apply peak removal before computing the KPIs.
  • Specifying the number of decimal digits of the values (the default behavior applies, namely to show at least 4 significant digits).

Improved data export format: streamlined export behaviour

Introduction of the ‘CSV (or EXCEL) file (asset oriented by column)’ export format, available in both CSV and XLS variants: this format positions AssetCode/MetricCode pairs in columns, ensurs global consistency across all assets and metrics.

Consistent export behaviour ensures a seamless experience across all export options, with a standardised data format and enhanced visibility.

The option to select the new format can be found in the 2nd step of the data export schedule configurator from the Setup > Data Export menu. Please note that the previously available 'CSV (or EXCEL) file' format is still available and will be renamed to 'CSV (or EXCEL) file (assets oriented by rows)'.

The export behaviour is consistent across the export options. For all export options:

  • The data format is e.g. 01/01/2022 00:00.
  • There is no quotation mark for any string or numeric value.
  • If there is no value for the timestamp, the corresponding cells are null/blank instead of hidden.

The export capacity has been improved

This means that a larger data set (i.e. lower granularity, more assets and/or longer time periods than before) can be exported. However, it is not possible to guarantee a specific volume of data that can be exported, as capacity is directly related to the complexity of the calculations required. As a limiting example, a metric may be the calculation of consumption for a portfolio of 10,000 meters. Asking to export one year’s data would exceed the current capacity, even if it is a single value. Below are some examples of what you can export:

  • Electricity, gas, water consumption 1 YEAR period, DAY granularity for 100 assets.
  • Electricity consumption 1 YEAR, 15 MINUTES granularity for 100 assets.
  • Electricity, gas, water consumption 1 YEAR, MONTH granularity for 500 assets.
  • CSV exports are more suitable for larger capacity (data volume) exports compared to EXCEL.

Improved weather data collection: better integration and traceability

We’ve redesigned our weather collection mechanism to work seamlessly with other data collection processes.

The data section of the asset edit page will be prefilled as such for the sites that have already been enabled for weather data collection

With enhanced integration and traceability features:

  • Connected: This means that weather data is successfully collected. If there is an error in the process, you can see it here with an explanation. You can use the icon to check the status at any time.
  • Enable ON: For locations where weather data has been enabled, this flag will be ON. Disabling this flag will temporarily stop weather data collection.
  • Weather Station: by default this is set to ‘use site coordinates’. We have also introduced ‘Custom Meteo Station’. You can now select the exact weather station from which you wish to obtain data. Based on the country selected in the address property, you will see a drop down list of available weather stations in that country.
  • Start date: by default we set the start date to 7 days before the deployment date. This means that we will start collecting data with this new mechanism from the new release. However, you will still have the history of your weather data.
  • Loading data: once weather data is enabled and connected, you can set the start date to request historical data for the given location

In addition, the new mechanism creates unique data sources for each geolocation, ensuring consistent traceability similar to other data collection mechanisms.

Thanks to this change, the traceability of the weather data will be similar to all other data collection mechanisms. In your data sources page, you can filter the weather data sources by the type ‘Weatherbit’.  The name will include the latitude and longitude as shown below.

You need to add the following fields to your API request when you create a site where you want to enable weather data.

  • Temperature Act.
  • Irradiance Act.
  • Relative humidity Act.

This means that the following weather data is not collected anymore:

  • Cloud Cover Act.
  • Precipitation Act.
  • Pressure Act.
  • Visibility Act.
  • Wind Direction Act.
  • Wind Speed Act.
